Why southern Spain?
I initially arrived in Marbella to help with the launch of a hair salon in Estepona. Once the salon started to flourish, I decided to move slightly up the coast near Marbella, to a fun and vibrant salon in Puerto Banus.
While there, I was persuaded into doing a few weddings which I hadn’t had a lot of experience with except the odd client. However, with the encouragement of my friend and award-winning Irish makeup artist- Lyndsey Cavanagh, I really found a passion for wedding hair. Throughout the following months, I attended multiple specialist courses in Spain and London. After studying and practising throughout my courses, I eagerly headed down a new career pathway to become a bridal hairstylist.
Having such a large variety of beaches, tropical gardens and beautiful mountains, I couldn’t think of a better place to settle down. Having established myself here, I am now lucky enough to be able to collaborate with some of the top specialists in their field. This ranges from wedding planners, makeup artists, florists and incredible photographers. I love doing bridal hair and having the opportunity to be a part of every beautiful brides’ special day.
Since working on the Costa Del Sol, I have been fortunate enough to prepare brides in the most beautiful surroundings. I have worked at the far western side of the coast at the stunning rustic hotel Casa Siesta in Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz. At the most gorgeous haciendas and fincas in the mountains. Grand hotels such as the exclusive Villa Padierna in Estepona,
Marbella Club and Puente Romano on the Golden Mile in Marbella. Los Monteros surrounded by beautiful views and golf courses, La Cabane beachfront hotel towards Mijas. Not forgetting, the stunning backdrop of the cultural Malaga with luxury fincas and castles from the beachfront to the countryside.
